Responsibilities:

As a product engineer for semiconductor lasers (including DFB lasers and electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers), you will be engaged in the following activities:

• Device characterization and performance analysis
• Data-driven process improvement and yield enhancement
• Root cause investigation and failure analysis
• Statistical analysis and trend monitoring
• (Depending on skill level) Development of data models or analysis automation, including machine learning.

Expected Background:

• BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in a science or engineering discipline
• Strong interest in semiconductor or optoelectronic devices, manufacturing, or data science
• Logical, analytical thinker with persistence in tackling complex technical challenges

Expected Skill:

• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, JMP, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization
• Fluent Japanese speaker and Basic communication skills in English (reading/writing and participating in online meetings or email discussions)
• Preferred Skills:
  • Research or hands-on experience with semiconductor processes, optical devices, or electronic device characterization
  • Practical experience in yield management, quality improvement, or process optimization in manufacturing
  • Practical experience in yield management, quality improvement, or process optimization in manufacturing
