This position is eligible for a reassignment. Reassignment candidates must have previous experience in Operations and advanced knowledge of BWR operations.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Assist the Work Control Manager on a continuing basis to ensure all activities related to the operation of the plant for power generation are conducted in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and Energy Northwest policies and procedures. Responsible for directing the development of detailed plans/schedules for all corrective and preventative maintenance, surveillance, post maintenance test, and modifications for all work weeks leading to T-7. Responsible for managing the development and publication of the Standard Operating Cycle schedule, leading prioritization of work requests, and coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure effective scheduling. Acts as the primary liaison between Columbia Generating Station (CGS) and Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), ensuring alignment of grid and plant operations. Provides leadership in pre-outage scheduling and supports strategic decision-making to optimize operational efficiency.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead coordination with plant organizations to define and manage work scope for upcoming workweeks.
Direct the prioritization process for CGS work requests, ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
Serve as CGS’s primary liaison with BPA, managing inter-organizational planning and communication.
Develop, maintain, and publish the Standard Operating Cycle schedule.
Lead the Pre-Outage HIT Team.
Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.
Must support the biennial refueling outage.
(If applicable) Must provide support to the OCC and EOC.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Lead Unit Coordinator
Requires an SRO Certification/SRO License/RO License/Previously held a cert or license and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least six years of experience in the nuclear power industry and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
OR an SRO Certification/SRO License/RO License/Previously held a cert or license and an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of experience in the nuclear power industry and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
OR an SRO Certification/SRO License/RO License/Previously held a cert or license and a high school diploma/GED and at least ten years of experience in the nuclear power industry and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
Unit Coordinator
Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least six years of technical or nuclear experience and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
OR An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of technical or nuclear experience and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
OR A high school diploma/GED and at least ten years of technical or nuclear experience and a minimum of two years of supervisor/management experience in operations, maintenance, work management or engineering.
Lead Unit Coordinator Salary Range: $145,302 - $217,952
Midpoint: $181,627
Unit Coordinator Salary Range: $126,362 - $189,542
Midpoint: $157,952
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
