Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) is looking for a highly motivated Structures Engineering Intern to join our Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) Commercial Repairs team. ASE is uniquely linked between the engine development / certification and aftermarket and field support engine life cycles. This results in our repairs having a direct impact on the bottom line of Pratt & Whitney’s maintenance repair and overhaul revenue and success. The Structures Engineering Intern closely interacts with fellow ASE engineers from structures, design, project, and program, along with other module center engineers from CIPT and design metallurgy, among others, to develop technical data to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor
• Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible
• Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate
• Participating in meetings, attending events and other training initiatives
• Taking notes and sharing your findings with your supervisor and other relevant stakeholders
• Establishing professional relationships with staff
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
• Every intern is on a guided internal learning program and/or structured experiences to gain the skills and knowledge required to make contributions to the department.
• They also work on project/assignment that require basic professional knowledge to synthesize and interpret information under close supervision a mentor.

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, mathematical and engineering skills
• Good knowledge of Ansys as well as Python/Fortran
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and professionalism
• A growth mindset and willingness to accept criticism
• Drive for results & an inclination for self-development through technical knowledge
