In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of Fourthline and drive our company’s mission of fighting financial crime. As a data-science intern within the data team, you will contribute to the performance of the data-science models that are used at Fourthline.  

What you’ll do: 

• Get familiar with the data base, repositories and way of working at Fourthline 

• Dive into the data base of Fourthline; identify and visualize data trends 

• Help to improve the performance of our data-science models with hyperparameter tuning, feature selection methods and feature engineering 

• Work on a data-science solution to identify anti-money laundering 

What you bring to the table:  

• MSc student in the field of Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent studies at one of the Universities in the Netherlands   

• Experience working with Python for data science/machine learning, using scikit-learn, pandas, numpy and equivalent packages.   

• Basic understanding of SQL 

• Strong understanding of machine learning models & statistics   

• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are solutions-oriented, a quick learner and motivated 

• You can and enjoy working in a fast-paced performance-based international environment 

• Available at least 6 months for a minimum of 4 days a week
