Job Summary:
The Lead Engineer oversees the development and implementation of
electrical control systems for water and wastewater treatment products, providing technical direction and ensuring integration with overall system architecture.. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of electrical control systems for water and wastewater treatment products, providing technical direction and ensuring integration with overall system architecture.
  • Develop, review, and optimize PLC/HMI programs using Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley and Siemens platforms while guiding junior engineers and ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
  • Preparation of detailed drawings for Power & Control Panels with related BOM, using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Preparation of I/O List, Operation sequence matrix, Alarm list and control write up.
  • Applies knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA and CE standards to control system panel designs.
  • Basic knowledge on automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus
  • Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements.
  • Drafting work related to redline of legacy drawing of standard products and systems, per requirements.

Requirements

  • First class with distinction in Bachelor (or) master’s degree in electrical and Electronics engineering with minimum 9-13 years of experience in water industry (preferred), or equivalent plant design industry experience - such as power, chemical, pharmaceutical, marine, oil and gas industry etc.
  • Basic understanding of P&ID diagrams, ISA tags and symbols, electrical schematics, plus the ability to perform markups.
  • Basic knowledge on industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), etc
  • Basic Knowledge with PLC hardware - AB MicroLogix, SLC, CompactLogix, ControlLogix (or) Siemens S7-200, S7-300, S7-1200
  • Familiar with basic networking (Ethernet, Controlnet, Modbus, RS-485, etc), and ability to configure and troubleshoot.
  • Hands on experience with process instrumentation including flow, pressure, temperature measurement devices and methodologies.
  • Basic Knowledge of analytical process equipment (pH, ORP, conductivity, etc.), installation, and calibration practices.
  • Familiar with Industry Standards UL, NEMA etc. Knowledge with NEC, IECEx and ATEX standards would be advantages

Tool Set Skill

  • AutoCAD Electrical 2024 & Autodesk Vault 2024
  • RSLogix 5000 & RSLogix 500, FTView for AB, TIA portal for Siemens PLC HMI programming.
