The Endoscopy Department at Avon Hospital provides comprehensive care for digestive system disorders using advanced endoscopic techniques. They offera range of procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and bariatric endoscopy, with a focus on minimally invasive options and patient comfort. The department is staffed by highly trained specialists and utilizes the latest technology to ensure high-quality diagnosis and treatment. As an Assistant Nurse Manager in Endoscopy, you will monitor the daily operations of the department and provide professional and compassionate support to patients. You will oversee RNs, LPNs, MAs and other care providers to ensure that the best Cleveland Clinic experience possible. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with weekend requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts and coordinate patient admitting, discharges, transfers and other operational issues.
Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of nurses and other direct and indirect patient care providers on assigned unit/area.
Counsel employees on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and collaborate in monitoring attendance issues.
Alert Nurse Manager of significant clinical or other performance issues.
Participate in interviewing, selecting and appraising the performance of employees.
Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
Administer Nursing Institute, departmental and CC policies and procedures.
Supervise and participate in the daily delivery of patient care on assigned unit/area.
Prepares schedule of work assignment assuring adequate coverage on all shifts.
Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, research initiatives and department/committees as assigned.
Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Two years of endoscopy experience

Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
