Newor Media, a leading programmatic monetization platform and Google Certified Publishing Partner is looking for an experienced Manager, Publisher Development.

Leveraging recent major wins and a newly upgraded platform, the successful candidate will lead a team of Account Managers to win new publishers, improve the service of existing publishers, increase U.S. impression volume and continuously improve inventory quality.

As the team lead, the Manager coordinates department-level initiatives with ad operations, engineering and development, ad sales and executive leadership. The Manager helps executive leadership set and report on goals and KPIs, improve workflow processes, improve publisher satisfaction and ensure adherence to company policies.  As a player/coach role, the Manager personally services key publisher relationships while managing day-to-day operations for a team of experienced account managers and a CRM support specialist.  Day-to-day operations include efforts to win and onboard new publishers, service to existing publishers, support and guidance of team members, management of special projects and weekly reporting.  The Manager leads continuous efforts to improve inventory quality ensuring Account Managers perform routine and thorough reviews of account performance using proprietary and 3rd party tech platforms for reporting and analysis with individualized recommendations to publishers for improvements.

The position requires candidates live within the U.S. in the Eastern Standard Time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of account managers and CRM specialists to win, onboard and service high-quality publishers with a focus on U.S. inventory and overall inventory quality
  • Lead weekly and quarterly performance reporting for the department to executive leadership
  • Ensure department processes and systems are continuously improved to ensure optimal business and account-level performance that drives profitable topline growth
  • Work with leadership to identify and address areas for team training including publisher communications, viewability, platform training and certification (GAM, GA, Hubspot,)
  • Develop, maintain, and grow business partnerships with independent and enterprise publishers including helping ‘win’ new publisher leads provided to you and grow existing sites
  • Work directly with sales and ad operations to onboard, manage and optimize websites
  • Ensure account managers continuously optimize publisher websites with individualized site plans that expand formats, improve placements, increase impressions and improve quality
  • Lead coordination of cross-departmental efforts to maximize publisher revenue opportunities including working with sales to include publishers in direct offerings
  • Ensure team members work effectively with ad ops, and engineering to resolve issues quickly
  • Improve publisher retention and satisfaction by ensuring account managers maintain routine and effective communications with all publishers with a focus growing revenues and eCPMs through video adoption, improving ad placements and improving inventory quality
  • Prepare and work with leadership to present quarterly business reviews to select publishers to help build partnerships, growth businesses and identify issues or challenges

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics experience; Certification preferred
  • 5+ yrs. experience working in CRMs as Account Management or sales; Hubspot preferred
  • 5+ yrs. experience in ad tech providing account management support
  • Experience working with websites and knowledge of HTML, Word Press and JS a strong plus
  • Have strong skills in PPT, Excel, and Word and a high comfort level learning new platforms

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with sports content publishers and enterprise publishers
  • Experience in client services or sales in AdTech, Digital Media, Programmatic or MarTech
  • Comfortable working in dynamic fast-paced growth-oriented environments
