As a Senior Software Engineer at Tanium, you will embark on an exciting new project integrating LLM technology into our reporting platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our services achieve top-tier performance, security, and scalability. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Integrate existing products with LLM technologies to enhance user experience
  • Utilize vector embeddings to build intuitive data navigation
  • Work with server-side technologies, persistent data stores, caches, and messaging systems
  • Create automated unit tests, API tests, and integration tests to ensure quality delivery
  • Author technical documentation and artifacts for developed software 

We’re Looking for Someone With:  

Education  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • CS Degree or related technical field preferred  

Experience  

  • Eligible for the FedRAMP security clearance 
  • 5+ years industry experience, 7+ preferred
  • Software development experience in Go (preferred), Node.js, Rust or Java
  • Experience with LLMs
  • Experience with cloud technologies (i.e., AWS and Azure)
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – being able to learn what the requirements are and being able to apply them
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to writing automated tests as an integral part of the development process
  • Knowledge of a variety of modern backend software frameworks and the versatility to learn new tools and languages
