About The Role
As a Junior Client Strategy Partner, you will provide essential support in defining and executing the long-term commercial strategy for Tier 1 and mid-tier accounts. You will leverage category expertise, audience insights, and our extensive product portfolio to position dmg media as an essential partner in investment decisions. This is a junior to experienced level strategic role that offers significant exposure to data, creativity, and client direct partnerships.
This role will:
- Support Tier 1 client & agency planning relationships, to help position dmg as a must-buy media owner
- Assist in developing long-term strategies for clients – leveraging category, product expertise & audience insights
- Coordinate proactive presentations & assist in thought-leadership sessions to help unlock incremental revenue
- Support our reputation as a trusted partner to clients & agencies by assisting the account service team, liaising with internal teams to ensure quality servicing
- Champion our innovative data-enriched digital solutions in market that generate meaningful outcomes for our advertising customers under guidance, whilst respecting the value of print to deliver for our customers
- Assist in our commercial transformation toward a strategic, client-focused, full-funnel organisation
- Collaborate closely with our Creator & New Media (social video) and Commerce team to best serve our core advertising customers with market-leading ad innovation
- Collaborate with partnerships and delivery teams to give high level servicing to clients
- Own and track all client engagement, delivering robust pipeline management and performance tracking in Salesforce for all T1 client's relationships
Main Responsibilities
- Tier 1 Relationship Support: Assist in building and nurturing relationships with decision-makers at Tier 1 agencies and clients
- Strategic Planning Support: Support the development of comprehensive media strategies for accounts, leveraging audience insights and our product portfolio
- Thought Leadership Assistance: Help coordinate and prepare materials for proactive presentations and thought-leadership sessions
- Revenue Assistance: Identify opportunities to support new commercial partnerships under supervision
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between commercial, editorial, data, and product teams to ensure client strategies are executed effectively
- Core Strategic Levers: Develop capability in at least one of the following key growth areas through training:
- Multi-format solution selling (incl. social-first branded content)
- Pricing & yield optimisation
- Data analytics & insights
- Digital fluency (i.e., comfort with ad tech, data & social platforms)
Person Specification
- Experience: 2+ years in a customer-facing role; ideally within a media organisation.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; a confident and professional presenter.
- Technical: Comfort with basic office software (MS Office Suite) and a high degree of digital fluency regarding social media and ad platforms.
- Analytical: The ability to support data analysis, distinguish observations from actionable insights, and present recommendations clearly.
- Curiosity: A natural inclination to ask questions and seek a deeper understanding of people, culture, and market dynamics.
- Proactivity & Initiative: A self-starter who looks for opportunities to enhance processes and help the team without being prompted.
- Adaptability & Resilience: The flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment and handle setbacks constructively.
- Collaboration: A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and empathy, capable of building effective working relationships.
