We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Marketing Business Development Specialist. This hybrid role will focus on supporting both marketing operations and business development initiatives.  The ideal candidate will possess strong marketing skills with an understanding of lead management, pipeline reporting, campaign ROI calculation, and marketing data hygiene.

Lead Management:

  • Oversee lead management processes from lead capture to nurturing. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure leads are properly categorized, followed up on, and tracked.
    • Assist in the lead scoring and qualification process to ensure high-quality BANT leads are being passed to the sales team.
    • Monitor lead flow and ensure leads are being properly assigned to the appropriate sales or business development team members.
    • Help manage inbound leads and ensure prompt follow-up using CRM and marketing tools. Assist in managing and maintaining the sales pipeline by inputting data into CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
    • Track interactions and provide reports on the status of leads and opportunities.

Tracking & Reporting:

  • Manage pipeline reporting for Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), working with the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate pipeline forecasting.
  • Analyze the return on investment (ROI) for marketing campaigns, helping to identify areas of opportunity for improving performance.
  • Compile reports on outreach efforts, lead generation, and sales conversions.
  • Provide regular updates on business development activities and track progress toward goals.

List Hygiene:

  • Maintain and improve the accuracy of marketing contact lists.
  • Regularly audit and clean data to ensure quality in outbound campaigns.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct research to identify new markets, industry trends, and potential target customers.
  • Analyze competitors and industry data to inform strategy.
  • Assist in gathering and interpreting data on market conditions and business prospects.

SLED/FED Marketing:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to SLED and FED sectors. Ensure that campaigns align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Learning & Development:

  • Continuously learn about the company’s products, services, and target markets.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices for business development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing operations, business development, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in lead management processes and pipeline reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to calculate ROI and optimize marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to maintaining data integrity in marketing contact lists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hybrid marketing/business development role.
  • Knowledge of lead scoring, segmentation, and nurturing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
