Job Summary:

To collaborate in the supervision and coordination of daily clinical and administrative operations in an assigned area in the delivery of quality patient care services. To supervise and monitor the implementation of departmental policies and procedures supporting university goals and objectives.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in health administration or related field and three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration required:  N/A

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of health care administration. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Organizational skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to perform basic supervisory functions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily clinical and administrative operations in an assigned clinical area.
  • Implements policies and procedures designed to maximize patient care and quality service standards.
  • Supervises employees to include work allocation, training, evaluation, and problem resolution.
  • Collaborates with other medical personnel to resolve patient care issues, improve cost containment, increase productivity, and meet demands.
  • Monitors and conveys changes in applicable federal, state, and university policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Prepares and submits required monthly and quarterly reports; creates and maintains relevant files and databases.

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional kneeling, frequent reaching, constant sitting, occasional standing, frequent twisting, and occasional walking.
