Leidos/Spire is seeking a talented Senior Industrial Security Specialist/FSO to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities

-The selected candidate will interface with all levels of management to support the administration of a classified contract to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides.

-Additional duties for the selected candidate will include back-up support for processing all aspects of the personnel security functions (e.g., processing new employees for security clearances, processing individuals for necessary badges, and processing incoming / outgoing visit requests, request for access actions, and other duties as assigned).

-Maintain Security Information Management System (SIMS) data base.

-Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the preparation of management reports and maintain the personnel clearance database(s). The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a high pace/dynamic environment. 

-High standards of professionalism are essential, as well as the ability to operate under minimal supervision.

-The candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

· The candidate must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contract and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.

· Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of related experience (additional education, training and experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

-Knowledge of NISPOM is a must.

-Candidate proficiency with SIMS security software desired. 

- Self-started with ability to work independently, customer service oriented.

- Commitment to security – creating and delivering the highest value to customers

- Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.

- Strong communications skills, both oral and written

- Candidates must possess an Active Secret clearance

- Candidate must be willing to commute to Colorado Springs, CO

- Candidate must be a US citizen and posses (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

- Completed FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU

- Familiar with manufacturing methods to include CNC

Pay Range:

Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
