Why Ferrovial?
Workday Solutions Analyst
We are looking for a proactive and solutions‑driven professional to support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of our HR technology ecosystem. Our company uses Workday as the core platform for all HR processes, including Payroll, which we have recently deployed for the USA and Canada, and this role will play a key part in developing scalable solutions for more than 5,000 employees across 26 companies.
This is a dynamic and high‑impact position. It requires strong judgment, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a passion for problem‑solving. Rather than executing a routine set of tasks, you will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to analyze challenges, design solutions, and contribute to the ongoing optimization of our Workday landscape.
We value ownership, teamwork, and delivering exceptional results. If you are someone who enjoys learning, adapting, and making meaningful improvements in a complex environment, we would love to meet you.
This is an on-site position. It is located in The Woodlands, TX. This is not a remote work opportunity.
Provide technical expertise in at least one Workday area. Experience in Integrations is the top priority, followed by Benefits. Knowledge of Payroll or Time Tracking is also highly valuable.
Ensure that integrations are working as expected and proactively maintained. Use Workday to create new integrations with external systems including SharePoint and benefits carriers.
Create and schedule reports and integrations in Workday.
Manage Benefit Plan configurations including plan eligibility rules, rates, calculations, and enrollments. Ensure that Benefit Group eligibility rules are monitored and updated to align with the changing business needs.
Deliver and support Workday solutions across the different processes especially Integrations, contributing to system enhancements, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
As responsibilities may extend across multiple Workday modules, you will receive support — including our Workday Success Plan, targeted training, and guidance from the team — to successfully take on new tasks.
Collaborate proactively with end-users, managers, and cross‑functional teams, delivering accurate solutions within agreed timelines and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Application Management Service providers.
Maintain trust with coworkers, managers, and consultants. This position must protect sensitive and confidential data, applying strong security and data‑management practices.
Adapt to a variety of business needs across organizations, countries, cultures, and languages. The team prides itself on being helpful, respectful, honest, and solution-driven.
Use Jira to document change management and follow strict guidelines regarding changes.
Support the execution of projects through active listening and questioning, maintaining organized notes and action lists, and maintaining an optimistic attitude through the toughest challenges.
Assist with maintaining invoices and budgets related to technology improvement programs.
Create technical documentation and work to develop a knowledgebase for use by the HRIS Team and its internal customers.
*Please note that this job description does not represent a comprehensive list of activities and employees may be requested to undertake other reasonable duties.
2 or more years of experience operating Workday including Payroll, HCM, Benefits, Reporting, or Time Tracking.
Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred majors are Engineering, Computer Programming, Information Systems, and similar.
Knowledge of moderately skilled Excel calculations (eg. vlookups, countifs, tables, and clean formatting)
Proficient knowledge of operating Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
High integrity and confidentiality.
Seize the challenge. Move the world together! Innovative, creative, respectful, and diverse are some of the ways we describe ourselves. We are motivated by challenges, and we collaborate across our business units to move the world together. Your journey to a fulfilling career starts here!
