As the National Sales Manager at Playbook365, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales for our cutting-edge sports event management software. Your primary focus will be on prospecting and generating sales for our sports event management solution (Playbook365), with a secondary emphasis on our event housing technology (GPS). If you are passionate about sports events, possess built-in relationships within the sports event industry, and thrive on leveraging technology to enhance customer experiences, we want you on our team.

How You'll Shine:

  • Lead efforts to grow revenue by prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing event management clients.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads.
  • Manage prospective client relationships throughout the sales cycle, providing a consultative solutions sales process to meet their unique needs.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group sales presentations, showcasing the features and benefits of Playbook365 and GPS.
  • Track customer information, forecasts, and reports in the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging market trends in youth sports, baseball, softball, hockey, and lacrosse. 
  • Plan and strategize marketing activities in collaboration with the National Sales Director and enterprise Marketing team to effectively reach clients, develop lead generation programs, manage our annual events and shows schedule, and support our national sales team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in sales within the sports event management industry, with a focus on youth sports, baseball, softball, and knowledge of hockey, volleyball and lacrosse being a plus.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills with the ability to maintain and grow an existing book of business.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Tech-savvy with a passion for innovative technology and its application in sports event management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Leadership, Marketing, Account Management, and Product Development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • CRM experience, HubSpot or Salesforce preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a track record of stability and success
  • Technical background with hands-on experience in digital technologies
  • Knowledge of the youth sports landscape, the key players and the key companies who lead in the youth sports space, is preferred.
  • Proof of previous sales performance
  • SaaS sales experience is preferred
  • Success in an outbound call environment
  • Self-directed and motivated to exceed goals
  • Experience selling into the event industry vertical is a plus
  • Experience with sales presentations within a technology environment a plus

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
