Job Title:  Senior Supply Planning Specialist  

Number of Direct Reports:  2 (+ 6 Indirect Reports – Contingent Workers 

 

Position Summary:  

The Senior Supply Planning Specialist is primarily responsible for developing inventory and procurement strategies to achieve a balanced customer service expectations and working capital management. You and your direct reports will make an impact on the ANZ business by ensuring the efficient supply planning and optimal inventory availability for our customers. With a continuous improvement mindset developing efficient workflows that improve our customer experience and productivity Also, responsible for developing and implementing standardised SIOP processes & tools in collaboration with your colleagues thereby creating a pathway to IBP. This is an opportunity to build integrity and alignment of demand & supply plans across functions, and to achieve high customer service and AOP objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the project to design, build, and deploy procurement processes and tools to meet the business needs as well as support any future systems implementation projects as required. 
  • Own the weekly Demand & Supply planning processes and drive alignment and commercial integrity of plans with internal business partners in the SIOP cycle. 
  • Ensure intensity of focus on network inventories, product availability, and operating cost reductions.  
  • Develop data analytic capability to inform root causes of problems and to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to targets.   
  • Confirm timely PO place, chase, cancel and delay actions to maintain the inventories within applicable agreed stock policies.
  • Strive to automate and digitize the supply chain at every opportunity and improve flow.
  • Exhibit passion, professionalism, and drive for continuous improvement in Demand & Supply planning processes and deliver SIOP maturity and partake in broader business PPI projects. 
  • Monitor, manage and source supplier capability to desired sourcing strategy KPIS  
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for queries on the Supply and SIOP matters. 
  • Present supply metrics for effective decision-making communications in SIOP reviews 
  • Partake in inventory reviews with business partners to ensure stock health & efficient DRP. 
  • Partner with portfolio teams to plan, guide and successfully deliver new product launches. 
  • Mitigate supply constraints in their portfolio in line with commercial strategy and drive supplier engagement and problem resolutions. 
  • Establish master data strategies that improves quality and supply planning excellence 
  • Proactively engage with Suppliers (Internal / External) to build networking and confirm escalation paths, share learnings and optimize overall planning outcomes. 
  • Manage the timely delivery of Ad-hoc project-based task that may be assigned to you or your direct reports within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:  

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or another field is required. APICS certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of procurement, supply and inventory planning experience involving a broad commercial base with a large product offering. 
  • Experience in a highly complex distribution or retail model (preferred) 
  • Track record in effectively supporting portfolio enablement. 
  • Track record in independently leading initiatives and successfully implementing them. 
  • High level of expertise in supply planning systems and ERP systems (e.g., JDA E1, SAP), along with an understanding of supply replenishment (MRP/DRP) 
  • Process, results, and metrics oriented, demonstrate passion and experience in continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and commercial acumen, at ease operating in complex matrix environment and partnering with leaders at all levels.
