YOUR NEW ROLE

  • The Production Support Engineer ensures stable, secure and highly available operation of the PowerCurve Collections (PCC) platform for NAB Assist and related technology services. The role leads incident and problem management, owns batch operations, monitors segmentation/worklists, and coordinates change, patching, backups and disaster recovery activities across PCC environments. It works closely with Experian and internal squads to safeguard customer outcomes and regulatory obligations, and to support the ongoing PCC v2.4 upgrade program and integrations with adjacent platforms (e.g., NUW, IAS)
  • Review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved team productivity or efficiency.
  • Monitoring progress of requests and ensuring users and other interested parties are kept informed. Take corrective action to avoid or minimise delays.
  • Accountable for the development of conceptual system design for a small system or sub-system · Contribute to the estimation of project requirements ·
  • Work with key contacts to develop detailed program specifications from system or functional specifications to enable effective development of programs
  • Use technical specifications, requirements, standards and procedures to develop / modify structured code to produce quality programs as part of an application development or problem resolution activity.
  • Conduct post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the Technology solution provided.
  • Ensure all work within area of responsibility is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Essential capabilities

Customer and Colleague focus & collaboration across business and technology stakeholders

Clear, calm crisis communication during incidents.

Planning & prioritisation under pressure; disciplined execution of change, patching, DR and compliance controls.

Analytical problem solving with strong attention to detail; ability to trace end‑to‑end flows and diagnose complex production behaviours

Service reliability mindset (metrics, monitoring, alerting, error budgets, blameless post‑mortems).

Strong communication skills in crisis management, with both technical and business view points

Experience

  • 3+ years Technology experience
  • 2+ years in application development and / or support roles
  • Banking Domain – Production Support Experience
  • PCC hands‑on experience would be idea but not mandatory
  • Technical degree with applicable linkage to coding standards
  • ITIL methodology
  • Building, leading and managing teams
  • Managing & delivering multiple priorities

Qualification Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Economics or Information Technology and preferably a post-graduate qualification (i.e. post graduate diploma / degree / Masters).
  • ITL Certification
