Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advisory Compliance Manager, Assistant Vice President to join our dynamic team in Poland. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards across investment servicing, markets and financing, and investment management. The role requires excellent analytical capabilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory matters effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven history of developing and executing compliance or broader risk management programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing strategic guidance to the First Line of Defense and senior management. We are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
This role is based in Kraków (Bohdana Zielińskiego Street) can be performed in a hybrid model, 3-4 days onsite, 1-2 days remote.

What you will be responsible for
As an Advisory Compliance Manager (AVP) you will:
Provide regulatory advice and independent compliance oversight to business line functions and senior management.
Participate in and contribute compliance perspective to Development & Modification proposals, Transition Risk Assessments, and other strategic corporate initiatives.
Prepare clear, executive‑level reports that highlight key results, risks, and issues.
Develop, maintain, and implement compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business activities.
Conduct compliance reviews and testing activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulator focus areas, enforcement actions, and industry practices.
Lead or support various compliance projects, including coordinating workflows for the Poland Advisory Compliance Team.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
Relevant experience in compliance, risk management, or audit—preferably with an advisory focus—within investment servicing, markets and financing, or investment management.
Experience working with Asset Management or EU Banking Regulations is a plus.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant credentials are an advantage.
Minimum Salary:
zł182 004 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
