Senior ServiceNow Developer
We are seeking a seasoned Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team and drive the evolution of our enterprise platform. In this role, you won't just be maintaining a system; you’ll be a technical architect for our modernization roadmap, transitioning legacy processes into high-performance workflows using the latest "Australia” release features.
From AI-driven automation with NowAssist to complex ITOM health monitoring, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
Modernization & Roadmap Strategy: Lead key initiatives focused on platform modernization, including migrating legacy workflows to Flow Designer, conducting custom code reviews, and deploying Virtual Agent and NowAssist (GenAI) capabilities.
Core Development: Design, develop, and configure robust business rules, UI policies, and complex workflows tailored to specific business requirements.
ITOM Excellence: Manage and optimize the ITOM suite, specifically Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and the CMDB to ensure a "single source of truth" for the enterprise.
Integrations: Build and maintain seamless third-party integrations (e.g., xMatters) using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical consultant for key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Governance & Compliance: Advocate for ServiceNow best practices and ensure all development aligns with organizational security protocols and platform governance.
Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation for all configurations, custom scripts, and process workflows.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5+ years of dedicated experience in ServiceNow development and configuration.
2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within the ITOM space (Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, Event Management).
Technical Proficiency
Languages: Expert-level JavaScript, HTML, and ServiceNow-specific GlideScript.
Automation: Proven experience using Flow Designer to replace or augment legacy workflows.
Integrations: Deep understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP) and ServiceNow integration tools.
Architecture: In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture and ITIL methodologies.
Certifications
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Preferred
Soft Skills
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines.
