Multiple Positions Offered. Jackson National Life Insurance Company in Chicago, IL; 40 hrs/wk (OT as req.); 8:30-5, M-F. Submit resumes to, www.jackson.com. This position involves leading, designing, coordinating, and implementing enterprise software solutions through Azure Cloud Infrastructure. The responsibilities encompass overseeing the entire transition process from conception to production, configuring data pipelines, testing and developing Python-based Spark distributed frameworks running on Databricks, monitoring project status with Jira boards, and supporting implementation requirements. The individual is expected to align solutions with architecture patterns, identify system improvement opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders to refine user stories, and prioritize work. Reinforcing technical standards, collaborating with DevOps, Security and support teams. The person is also tasked with working closely with the architecture team, advising programmers, and contributing to architectural standards and thinking. He should be actively seeking to train and mentor team members.

Requirements for the Position:

  • Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or Computer Engineering or related field or foreign degree equivalent;
  • 5 years progressively responsible work experience in Senior Software Solutions Designer; Senior Software Engineer, Senior Associate, Application Designer, Web Programmer, Programmer/ Analyst, Systems Engineer, Developer, or combination;
  • 5 years work experience must include work with Spark; Python; PL/SQL; Azure Storage; and Bash shell scripts;
  • Must report to the office for a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 days during the work week.
