About the Role
Support the team to work on a variety of investment operations, trustee monitoring, reporting and analytical matters including trade order management, valuation monitoring, custodian monitoring, regulatory/management reporting and financial reporting relating to the MPF and pension products.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily investment operations for the MPF and pension platform (trade order placement, valuation and reconciliation, etc.)
- Supervise monitor regulatory obligations such as cashflow monitoring, monitoring of CMR requirements, post-trade compliance monitoring by custodian/fund administrator, segregation of bank accounts, custody and safekeeping of assets
- Review regulatory reportings and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission
- Review the annual audit for the MPF and pension Scheme and ensure compliance with the applicable accounting standards and fulfil MPFA’s regulations and guidelines
- Analytical review on the fee and expenses, cashflow monitoring, fund performance and other fund related information for MPF and pension Funds
- Conduct various custodian monitoring to fulfill MPFA and other regulators’ requirements
- Coordinate and review reporting for group consolidation/ management reporting/ marketing purposes for MPF and pension Funds
- Contribute innovative initiatives to streamline work process and improve workflow
- Assist in the implementation of the automation projects relating to order processing, valuation and reporting for MPF and pension Funds
- Develop reports to provide insight to business on the catalyst for investment activities
- Liaise with external auditors, perform oversight and monitoring on custodian, fund administrator and fund managers for regular service review
- Assign and monitor to ensure tasks and projects are completed within planned schedule
- Coordination of audit visits by external auditors and internal audit team and taking proper follow-up actions on issues identified from the visits.
- Assist in the implementation of new funds, process improvements and ad hoc projects
- Ensure regular investment reporting, regulatory returns and year end financial statements are being prepared accurately and submitted on a timely basis
- Liaise between various external parties including banks, service providers, investment managers, custodian, auditors, legal, consultant and others
- Communicate with MPFA/SFC and respond to MPFA/SFC’s inquiries
Requirements:
- University graduate, preferably major in business or finance related subject or equivalent
- Over 6 years of relevant experience in investment reporting / fund operation (such as trade processing, settlements and valuation)
- Familiar with MPFA and other regulators’ requirements on MPF funds
- SFC RA 13 License Representative Qualifications
- Collaborative, responsible detail minded person with a positive attitude, able to manage stress and work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in both spoken & written English & Chinese
- Proficiency in PC skills (MS Access & Excel)
- Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Senior Analyst
- Immediate available or short notice will be an advantage
