As a Behavioral Health Therapist in the Acute Care Center, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide outpatient assessments, short term therapy, safety planning, and care navigation for children and adolescents at risk for suicide, self-harm, or other mental health crises. This role also supports the Suicide Prevention Program, including Pediatric Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) located at Lutheran Hospital.
You will use specialized clinical knowledge and advanced skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviewing, assessment, and treatment planning for patients ranging from age 5 through adulthood. Responsibilities include providing individual, group, and family therapy, with a clinical focus across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
A caregiver in this position works primarily from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Children's Rehabilitation Hospital and provide coverage, as needed, at Lutheran Hospital which will require flexing hours to accommodate evening appointments.
