About the Role

This role will support reinsurance settlement-related work across all lines of the company's business. The addition to the team will allow us to devote additional resources towards inforce business analysis and refine our corporate strategies. Also, the addition will support automation and visualization to facilitate decision-making in this ever-changing economic environment.

This role will allow the individual to develop business and soft skills from a deep understanding of how reinsurance works to the drivers of profitability and from time management to full autonomy to take initiatives and make an impact.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for setting up the settlement process for new treaties and managing ceded & assumed inforce treaties. You will review monthly, quarterly, and annual reinsurance reports, and process and review reinsurance transactions, while staying in compliance with the terms and conditions of the reinsurance agreements. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Job Description:

  • Support, develop, and enhance reinsurance reports
  • Review manual data entry into the reinsurance reporting system
  • Handling issue resolution while providing internal and external support
  • Build knowledge of various Admin systems
  • Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and peer reviews
  • Document and maintain production work per Corebridge Standards
  • Think outside of the box and seek improvement of existing processes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other business and quantitative fields
  • 1+ years of experience in financial analysis area for the insurance/reinsurance industry
  • Demonstrated technology skills, including Excel / VBA, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
