About the Role 

The Fabrication technician is responsible for planning, executing and documenting parts- and assembly fabrication for all relevant Crown Jewel parts, applications and equipment’s including, but not limited to, wiring, system parts fabrication and installation as well as handling of A-surface parts. 

This role will be interfacing multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to, Industrial designers, Hardware, Software and Mechanical Engineers, System Architects and System Engineers. 

 
What You Will Do  

  • Coordinate and facilitate both parts fabrication and full Crown Jewel platform and application builds for custom made A-surface contained applications to be used for various purposes like, but not limited to, Crown Jewel standalone tabletop presentation modules, experience and concept car integrations in accordance with specifications and guidance from the engineering team. 

  • Install system wiring and system components into test racks and Crown Jewels in accordance with specifications and guidance from the engineering team 

  • Fabrication shop upkeep (parts bin, supply bin)  

  • Attending and providing constructive feedback in kick off meetings and other meetings 

  • Project time management and estimates 

  • Plan, coordinate and communicate all relevant aspects with suppliers and ensure timely deliverables to meet committed project planning (CAD data, support prototypes, get them all components for completion) 

  • Liaison between engineering and fab shop and industrial design and suppliers 

  • Quality assurance of outgoing products to ensure deliverables are in accordance with initial agreements or specifications 

  • Ensure lessons learned is being used for continuous improvement of processes, timing, cost and quality. 

 

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Technician degree level or higher 

  • 1+ years of experience in custom part design and installations, soldering and hardware installation 

  • Experience in handling A-surface parts as well as detailed mechanical assemblies  

  • Experience with wiring electrical systems 

  • Use of all hand tools and shop equipment 

  • Experience with metal work and parts fabrication  

  • Experience with vinyl, leather, fabric wrapping 

  • Ability to speak and write English as all communication and documentation will be in English 

  • Danish language skills are mandatory for this position, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken contexts

  • Hands-on mentality 

  • Excellent organizational skills  

  • Ability of using MS Office products  

  • Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously  

  • Good analytic and communication skills  

  • Quality minded attitude and passion for delivering high quality work 

  • Team player who’s able to be a strong part of a project team having a shared responsibility and target 

 

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Financial knowledge and understanding are a plus 

  • Experience with electrical, in-vehicle components and subsystems 

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects 

  • Ability to write reports and technical correspondence to internal customers and external suppliers 

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-responsible approach depending on the situation 

 

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international   

  • Be willing to work in an office in Struer 

  • This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.  As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
