The Containerization Developer will be expected to design, implement, and maintain containerized applications and services. They will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of enterprise-wide eQube PaaS containerized solutions. They will also be tasked with optimizing performance, ensuring scalability, and maintaining high availability of these environments.
Primary focus will be associated with eQube reporting (BI) and integration (MI) support for Northrop Grumman business units, enterprise programs, and projects. Ensures proactive focus on details of complex solutions to ensure highly successful implementations. Able to effectively deal with challenges from a base technical to a high complexity perspective. Engage with all eQube planning activities, as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement containerized applications and services.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
- Optimize performance and ensure scalability of containerized environments.
- Maintain high availability of containerized applications.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot containerized environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in containerization and cloud technologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of containerization practices.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in containerized environments.
- Automate deployment and scaling processes.
- Document containerization processes and procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve project goals.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions for containerized applications.
- Primary locations Redondo Beach CA., Melbourne FL., Baltimore MD., and Roy UT.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 Years of experience with Bachelor's degree; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux/UNIX.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g. YAML, Java, C)
- Work and lead effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Able to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.
- Experience developing in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with eQube reporting and integration development tools.
- Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
