The Manager, Property Tax Implementation Services (“Manager”) manages internal and external property tax software implementation projects to completion. Responsibilities include defining project scope, tasks, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. The Manager prepares and reviews project deliverables in connection with client onboarding and data management. The Manager oversees the functional and technical direction of projects, including on-time and on-budget delivery of project tasks, such as detailed requirements analysis, process design and configuration, deliverable preparation, and implementation of enterprise-class property tax management software and related processes. The Manager maintains and supports existing partnerships, client relationships, and provides technical leadership and guidance to his/her team and clients on project status and adherence to timeline and budget. The Manager also assists with business development activities by preparing proposals, engagement agreements, SOWs, and participating in calls and onsite meetings.

  • Tracks progress and provides timely status reporting of milestones, dependencies, risks and issues to initiative owners, key stakeholders, and leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience, with 7 – 10 years industry experience developing and planning technology-driven solutions, with a progressive record of successful delivery of multiple complex solutions, systems, or services.
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of leadership/management experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to identify and proactively solve problems, mobilizing project team members quickly to meet project objectives.
  • Property Tax industry knowledge and experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, VBA, Word, and general internet navigation and research. Additionally, an understanding of project management applications such as ClickUp, Microsoft Planner, Asana.

  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and MS Access. (4+ years).
  • Basic understanding of Visual Basic for Application (VBA) a plus.
  • Alteryx experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge in OPT, PropertyPoint, and/or other property tax software products is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) with the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may directly supervise employees in the Property Tax Implementation Services team and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment:

  • Fully remote work arrangement is available, minimal travel expected.
  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Occasional long periods of standing.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees, customers, and vendors both in-person and via virtual communications (email, phone, video conference, chat).
  • Independent travel requirement: up to 10-15%. Travel is rare in this position, but there may be travel required to go to large client sites or internal meetings.

Compensation:
For certain California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $109,000.00 - $149,160.00
For other California based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $136,730.00
For Colorado based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $95,000.00 - $130,570.00
For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $136,730.00
For other Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $95,000.00 - $130,570.00
For New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $109,000.00 - $149,160.00
For other New York based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $91,000.00 - $124,300.00
For Washington based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $136,730.00
