Position Summary...

Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, Procurement, People, Associate Digital Experience. At Walmart Global Tech in India that works on building solutions for various business functions and for multiple Walmart markets, you’ll have the opportunity to define, implement, and deliver products that enable procurement process using SAP / open stack technologies.

What you'll do:

  • Architect, Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide drive value from data at Walmart Scale
  • Experienced full stack engineer motivated to make all things run fast.
  • Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome product features to keep platform ahead of market scenarios.
  • Identify right open-source tools to deliver product features by performing research, POC/Pilot and/or interacting with various open-source forums.
  • Owning the end-to-end performance with a shift-left attitude through design, launch, and operation: Support architecture design, influence requirements, and help support new product launch.
  • Tackling performance issues for cutting edge technologies: Analyze and debug difficult server-side performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience.
  • Working collaboratively with a large group of engineers from all disciplines within Engineering to improve code base performance (e.g., algorithm redesign), reduce resource consumption and shorten request latency and present findings to a group with a varying degree of technical as well as business experience.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects, and delivery of critical and measurable project objectives, and communicate effectively to all stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Develop and maintain all documentation (design specifications, guides, and diagrams).
  • You will support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all team associates are confident in the use of software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with security practices/guidelines, and relevant technology standards, promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.


What you'll bring:

  • B.E./B.Tech from a reputed institution with around 3-6 years of IT experience
  • Good Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Spring Boot.
  • Good Experience in front end UI technologies like React Web, React Native, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience of strong backend development. Highly hands-on development experience with Node.js, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, Elastic Search, SQL, Hibernate.
  • Strong experience in building Microservices and Test-Driven Development
  • Good Experience with development tools such as Git, Maven, and Splunk
  • Experience with Code Quality Governance related tools (Sonar, Checkmarx, etc.)
  • Experience in organization running fully automated, end-to-end CI/CD processes.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering and developing applications with a sense of forward and backward compatibility being considered in designs.
  • Experience building dashboards and with an understanding of logging best practices, log aggregation with tools such as Splunk.
  • Experience building highly scalable, low latency, highly resilient, globally distributed, microservices-based web applications.
  • Experience in deploying applications on the cloud.
  • Good DB experience including Relational Databases, NoSQL etc.
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Full stack troubleshooting and root cause analysis expertise.
  • Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting using JUnit tests.
  • Demonstrated ownership for development and design of a few modules/features in a product.
  • Expertise in implementing Test Automation using tools like Selenium , Worksoft Certify, Solman etc
  • Experience in Functional and Integration testing with cross browsers or products
