SUMMARY: The Communications Intern assists the company with internal and external communications and supports marketing activities to help promote the company’s Mission and Vision. This role involves preparing communications and reports to enhance the organization’s reputation and ensure effective branding.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field

  • Previous internship or coursework in Communications, PR, or Marketing is a plus

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to represent the company positively and build relationships with stakeholders, including external partners

  • Excellent typing and database entry skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and social media platforms

  • Good time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle tasks with minimal supervision

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including drafting correspondence and proofreading

  • Understanding of HIPAA policies preferred

  • Ability to create positive impressions and communicate effectively with a variety of people

  • Personable and courteous in professional interactions

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Detail-oriented and observant

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist in creating and distributing internal communications tailored to different audiences.

  • Support the development of internal communications materials to achieve organizational goals

  • Help draft and edit press releases, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletters, and social media content

  • Write, edit, and proofread presentations, reports, and memos as needed

  • Review and summarize various reports and documents

  • Contribute to website management for recruiting purposes, including blogging and messaging

  • Collaborate with the talent team on recruitment materials and social media

  • Assist in managing brand requirements for agency partners

  • Research and follow up on incoming issues and concerns, including sensitive or confidential matters

  • Support relationships with web partners, company logo wear partners, and other marketing-related vendors

  • Assist in developing presentations for Partner meetings

  • Help organize All Staff Quarterly Meetings

  • Assist in coordinating internal and external communications

  • Manage conflicting needs, handle matters proactively, and ensure projects are completed on time

  • Perform other duties as assigned
