About the Opportunity:  
Accenture currently has an opportunity for an experienced and transformational Agency Functional Lead in their Sydney – North Sydney office. The right candidate will join a dynamic and energetic team delivering digital marketing expertise to the Australia and New Zealand market and will play a crucial role in growing our business. We are partnering with our client, a leading social media platform, to help businesses build brand awareness, increase sales, and more, by leveraging innovative advertising solutions and insights. 

In this role, you will lead a world-class team of Agency Sales Managers, driving exceptional customer experiences with an 'Agency First' mindset. You’ll guide your team to meet revenue targets, shape the agency business function for scalability, and ensure alignment with leadership and client objectives. Success requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a high-performance culture while driving operational excellence at scale. 

This is an opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing players in social media, backed by the expertise and global reach of Accenture. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our agency business function, acting as the bridge between leadership, our client, and the broader sales team to ensure alignment with the overall vision and objectives. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and motivate a team of ~20-30 Partner Managers and Account Managers, driving high engagement, performance, and continuous development across the Agency business function. 

  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of Agency Sales Managers, providing leadership and mentorship to drive revenue growth and operational excellence. 

  • Act as the intermediary between the Agency business function, leadership, and the client, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with strategic priorities. 

  • Ensure all client Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets are consistently met across key areas such as performance management, people management, quality assurance, recruitment, policy communication, transition management, and more. 

  • Oversee revenue forecasting and quota attainment for the Agency business function, leveraging data-driven insights to track performance, identify trends, and drive strategic decision-making. Present key findings and solutions in Quarterly Business Reviews, weekly business revenue meetings, and bottoms-up quota analyses. 

  • Collaborate with the Client Direct Functional Lead to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and driving measurable program outcomes.  

  • Balance long-term strategic vision with short-term operational execution, driving key initiatives while managing delivery outcomes and timelines. 

  • Provide actionable insights, crafting data-driven plans that optimise agency sales performance and create impactful business results. Ensure all Agency sellers are fully equipped with the knowledge of key sales initiatives, new product releases, and content materials to drive success. 

  • Instil operational rigour by driving the consistent execution of best practices, adherence to processes, and fostering continuous improvement within the agency sales function. 

  • Cultivate a high-performance sales culture by recruiting, coaching, and developing top talent, fostering a collaborative, results-driven team environment. 

Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in digital media sales, online advertising, or sales leadership, with a proven track record of managing high-value client portfolios. 

  • 3+ years of leading New Business Sales teams in a multinational environment, with experience managing managers and driving large-scale sales initiatives. 

  • Proven expertise in leading Digital Marketing Agency sales teams in multinational environments, with a deep understanding of the independent agency and social media landscape in Australia and New Zealand. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in setting and executing clear strategic visions, aligning teams with overarching business goals, and driving operational efficiencies across diverse teams and functions. 

  • Proven ability to inspire and guide teams in achieving service improvements while navigating complex challenges, ensuring the successful execution of both long-term strategies and short-term initiatives that drive business growth and client success. 

  • Extensive experience overseeing revenue forecasting, data-driven sales strategies, and quota management at a business-wide level, utilising CRM and reporting tools (Salesforce, Tableau, Monday preferred) to optimise performance and track progress. 

  • Proven success in developing, refining, and optimising sales processes and workflows to drive efficiency, scalability, and measurable outcomes. Demonstrates a strong ability to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices that enhance sales performance and operational effectiveness. 

  • Highly analytical, with a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging insights to inform strategic initiatives. Skilled at transforming complex data into actionable plans that align with business objectives and accelerate growth. 

  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and driving consistent results with a unified focus on business goals. 

  • Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation fostering a culture of excellence and growth. 

  • High energy and passion, with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour, contributing to a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
