Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Associate Accountant – AR Coordinator for the MD EU Region is responsible for managing accounts receivable operations, with a primary focus on coordinating VAT concerns with the VAT and Collection Team. This role also includes monitoring and updating new business accounts and overseeing order releasing processes for the MD EU region. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• VAT Coordination (MD EU Region):
  • Serve as the main contact for VAT-related queries and issues within the MD EU region.
  • Collaborate with the VAT and Collection Team to ensure compliance with EU VAT regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of VAT documentation and reports.
  • Monitor changes in VAT legislation and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Accounts Receivable Coordination:
  • Oversee the onboarding and updating of new business accounts for the MD EU region, ensuring accurate and timely account setup.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and compliant.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve account discrepancies and support customer onboarding.
• Order Releasing (MD EU Region):
  • Review and authorize order releases for the MD EU region, ensuring compliance with internal controls and VAT requirements.
  • Coordinate with sales, logistics, and finance teams to resolve order-related issues and facilitate timely order processing.
  • Track and report on order release metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multinational environment.
