The Offensive Quality Control Coach will support the offensive coaching staff through comprehensive film analysis, data compilation, and organizational assistance. This position plays a critical role in enhancing offensive game planning, player development, and practice efficiency through meticulous film breakdown and analytical support.

Duties/Responsibilities

Film Analysis & Breakdown – 30%

  • Conduct detailed film breakdowns of opponents’ defensive schemes, tendencies, and personnel packages

  • Chart and catalog defensive plays, down-and-distance situations, and red zone opportunities

  • Identify defensive weaknesses, blitz packages, coverage tendencies, and front alignments

  • Prepare comprehensive film cut-ups for position coaches and players

  • Compile self-scout reports to evaluate defensive tendencies and identify areas for improvement

  • Create highlight reels for recruiting and player development purposes

Game Planning Support – 25%

  • Assist in the development of weekly game plans by providing statistical analysis and tendency reports

  • Generate scouting reports on upcoming opponents with actionable insights

  • Track and analyze third-down efficiency, red zone performance, and situational football metrics

  • Support the defensive coordinator in identifying optimal play-calling situations based on defensive tendencies

Practice Organization & Operations – 15%

  • Help design and organize practice plans in coordination with defensive staff

  • Ensure practice schedules align with game plan installation and player development objectives

  • Assist with practice card preparation and script organization

  • Monitor practice tempo and efficiency, providing feedback to coaching staff

Technology & Data Management – 15%

  • Utilize video analysis software (Hudl, XOS, DVSport, etc.) to create organized film libraries

  • Maintain databases of defensive plays, formations, and personnel groupings

  • Track player performance metrics and compile statistical reports

  • Stay current with technological advancements in video analysis and data analytics

Player Development Support – 10%

  • Assist with individual player film sessions as directed by position coaches

  • Help identify technique corrections and development opportunities through film review

  • Support defensive meetings with prepared materials and visual aids

Administrative Duties – 5%

  • Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and institutional policies

  • Assist with recruiting evaluations and film compilation when needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the defensive coordinator or head coach

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of offensive football concepts, schemes, and terminology

  • Proficiency with video analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level

  • Playing experience at the collegiate level

  • Familiarity with data analytics and statistical analysis tools

  • Understanding of defensive schemes and tendencies

  • Experience with recruiting coordination or evaluation

Compensation Pay Range:  

$12.00 per hour
