Do work that matters

As Product Owner for Software Pipeline Tooling, you will be responsible for leading squad to implement new CI/CD tooling to support our strategic goal of having an integrated engineering platform.  This squad will also be responsible for the availability and stability of the new tool and other existing CI/CD tools, also define vision and roadmap for Software Tooling products. 

This role will sit in the wider team of the Engineering Platform domain and is focused on enabling the Group's engineers by delivering world-class engineering tools, processes and career pathways. You will:

  • Act as voice of customer for CommBank engineers. 

  • Balance delivering new functionality with continuously improving their product(s) reliability, observability and resilience. 

  • Be accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations. 

  • Act as the voice of the business and translate this for the team to coordinate a ‘one-team’ approach to problem solving. 

  • Soften the ground” for changes impacting customers using organisational change management principles and practices. 

  • Provide clear lines of communication with stakeholders on the product roadmap and prioritisation decisions. 

  • Identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across streams of work. 

  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design. 

  • Leads and develop the product roadmap, and engagement with senior stakeholders/ business units to manage the delivery of product roadmap. 

  • Leads the squad day-to-day to deliver change and lifecycle activities. 

  • Maintains a healthy prioritised Backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes. 

  • Assist the squad to navigate Group processes and engagements (e.g. pen testing, supplier security assessments, procurement) 

  • Recommend and implement controls to mitigate key risks on the project 

  • Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc. 

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Have proven Product Owner experience, ideally within engineering 

  • Are experienced in defining Product Roadmaps and delivery of Product vision 

  • Have experience with building/implementing enterprise CI/CD solution such as Github Actuins, Jenkins, TeamCity or similar 

  • Experience with Agile methodology, working within an Agile Matrix would be ideal 

  • Have experience managing Risks and Product Compliance and using formal methods to document them
