Director Supply Chain, Order to Cash End to End Process Lead

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this pivotal role you will ensure success within Amgen's Enterprise Resource System for the Order to Cash Process. You will be chartered with leading the team transforming our process in collaboration with implementing an upgrade to our ERP system.

Role Responsibilities:

  • A leader in a business process, across functions. Accountable for delivery of program outcomes within their process. Provides direction to help teams deliver a cohesive product that aligns with business vision and works cross functionally across other process areas.

  • Understands and implements corporate project management processes and industry standard methodologies which include, building and carrying out a project plan, monitoring & controlling project work, managing scope, managing resources, ensuring quality control, maintaining effective communication with team and all partners, managing risk, and monitoring and controlling project costs

  • Expert company, industry and product knowledge

  • Champion the project solutions and frame changes in a way that engages and excites the end-user community; provide direction and vision for change enablement effort, recognizes contributions, and celebrate accomplishments

  • Cross functional attitude and drive, well versed and respected throughout the business organization; Synthesize inputs gathered from a variety of sources into a cohesive product vision.

  • Drive consensus across multiple parties with conflicting views; take a pragmatic/economic enterprise view while prioritizing functionality (i.e., make sacrifices for the bigger picture)

  • Forward thinking and able to proactively identify risks, and weigh resulting impacts

  • Uses effective verbal and written communication skills, builds enterprise and end-to-end supply chain connections; resolves conflicts / bottlenecks and effectively negotiates issue resolution

  • Provide direction and vision for change enablement effort, provide deep change management expertise employing a complete and strategic view of transformation organizational change for the Digital organization. Partner with Strategy, Change, Culture, and key initiative leaders to align and connect messaging to enable agility and delivery of value to customers and partners

  • Oversees the big picture; collects, digests and assembles information to drive thorough, fact-based recommendations and solutions to ensure business partners meet the business objectives

  • Maintains awareness of the current industry environment (i.e., news events, trends, mergers, etc.) and peer practices that shape opportunities for customer solutions

  • Leads areas of risk and identifies and tracks mitigation options to close gaps and get initiatives back on schedule

  • Able to work United States west coast hours as needed and to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of Supply Chain experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 7 years of Supply Chain experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of Supply Chain experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Supply Chain and Operational Excellence experience in regulated industry

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering

  • Experience in business process re-engineering and developing and implementing technology solutions

  • Experience working in a global environment with different cultures, ability to liaise/communicate effectively with different management levels and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to both work in the trenches while also understanding the bigger picture

  • Good understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical regulations

  • Fluency in English; excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels

  • Instinctual critical thinking and a strong business and strategic foresight

  • Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations and solutions and can work at both strategic and tactical levels

  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding communications skills with all levels of an organization

  • Ability to challenge team members in relation to data, resources and concepts

  • Fast-learner, ability to think on your feet, self-starter and great teammate

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
