Specialty Health Network (SHN) by Shoppers supports our retail stores to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We provide patient support programs (PSPs) for specialty drug therapies, providing physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitating reimbursement, and enhancing patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders.

We are hiring a Senior Specialist, Specialty Retail Projects

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Specialty Projects, you will be responsible for leading Specialty projects and initiatives that drive the operational success of Patient Support Programs (PSPs) in our Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw Pharmacies. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams across the organization to provide support on retail-oriented Patient Support Program launches.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead various Specialty projects and support the development of Pharmacy workflow and metrics for retail-focused PSPs.
  • Support the launch of various Patient Support Programs (PSPs).
  • Work with cross-functional teams within the enterprise to develop new processes and tools to support our retail Pharmacies in providing exceptional Patient care for our Specialty Patients.
  • Execute Specialty communications to the retail network, including management of SHN reference documents.
  • Be the subject matter expert for SHN programs.

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of three years of combined experience in Pharmacy, Pharma or Healthcare. Licensed Pharmacist in good standing is an asset.
  • Current or recent Retail Pharmacy Operations experience, preferably at Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaw Pharmacies.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail Pharmacy processes and Pharmacy management software is considered a strong asset.
  • Knowledgeable of National and Provincial Pharmacy standards of practice and regulations.
  • Tech-forward thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Proven capacity to drive results without authority and ability to build collaborative relationships cross-functionally; actively engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong professional presence and presentation skills, including facilitation of meetings where excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills is a must.
  • Exceptional project and change management skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes of responsibility reflective of the business needs.
  • Basic knowledge of Patient Support programs and Specialty reimbursement landscape is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in French is an asset but not required.
