Job Description:

Leads enterprise wide supplier engagement and development initiatives that advance Intermountain Health’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities. Responsible for designing and executing supplier development strategies that strengthen community impact, expand access to local and sustainable businesses, and position Intermountain Health as an industry leader in sustainable procurement.

Directs the development and implementation of comprehensive programs to increase spend with local, diverse, and sustainable suppliers across the supply chain, ensuring alignment with Intermountain Health’s mission and strategic priorities.

Establishes and leverages partnerships with community organizations to drive measurable ESG and supplier development outcomes. Oversees program governance, compliance reporting, and resource planning, while supporting key sourcing activities by creating effective collaboration between suppliers and internal stakeholders.

This is a system-wide role that supports Intermountain Health’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities by coordinating supplier engagement and development initiatives that expand access to local, sustainable, and inclusive suppliers. This role assists in implementing strategies that align procurement activities with organizational goals and values. 

Job Essentials 

1. Supports development and execution of ESG and supplier development policies, procedures, and programs aligned with Intermountain Health priorities. 

 

2. Builds and maintains relationships between the SCO service lines and other 

internal stakeholders.

3. Coordinates sustainability and waste reduction initiatives within the supply chain in support of organizational environmental goals.

4. Coordinates with SCO Business Insights Manager to manage and interpret reports on customer acquisition targets and customer retention rates  

5. Proactively and effectively communicates with different departments to understand their needs and how the SCO 

7. Partners with supply chain and cross functional stakeholders to integrate ESG and supplier development objectives into sourcing and procurement activities.

8. Develops executive engagement to build SCO support for ESG initiatives.  

9. Assists with program tracking, documentation, and compliance reporting. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree obtained through an accredited institution (Degree will be verified)
  • Five years of experience in relevant industry (healthcare, supply chain, ESG) experience along with certification(s) can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Advanced knowledge of customer relationship management and sales
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, creativity, aptitude, and resilience in the workplace
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across diverse teams both internally and externally
  • Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working in a role requiring independent work
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field through an accredited institution (Degree will be verified)
  • Additional relevant certifications or supply chain industry certification(s) such as APICS, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in sales for a professional services organization

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$38.55 - $59.49
