We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Employment and Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. As an Employment and Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in handling a wide range of employment law and employment and corporate litigation matters. This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Corporate Counsel of Employment & Litigation and sits within the corporate legal team.
Where You'll Be
To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do
- Provide full range of paralegal services to RVO Health Legal, Privacy and Compliance team (“Legal”) and Human Resources team (“HR”).
- Assist with employment matters, such as EEOC charges, employee relations, discrimination and harassment allegations, and unfair competition.
- Prepare and revise legal documents, such as contracts, non-disclosure agreements, employment agreements, separation agreements, pleadings, witness statements, discovery, while ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Assist in the organization, indexing, and maintenance of case-related documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and exhibits. Ensure accurate and efficient retrieval of information as needed.
- Prepare materials for cases by compiling and organizing evidence, witness statements, and other related materials.
- Assist in affirmative action compliance, including coordinating with internal stakeholders to analyze workforce data, identify areas for improvement, recommend action plans, and monitor implementation and training.
- Research case laws, statues, and legal precedents to support Legal as they provide advice and counsel on employment issues and policies.
- Stay abreast of developments in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the company's industry and interests. Monitor legal publications, industry news, and other reliable sources to identify and analyze any changes that may impact ongoing or future litigation cases. Provide regular updates to attorneys and legal teams regarding significant legal developments and their potential implications. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies that align with the company's legal requirements and objectives.
- Maintain and update case files and organizational system to track case progress, deadlines, and important milestones.
- Prepare materials for Legal meetings and training sessions.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and share relevant information.
- Compile information and assist in reviewing and responding to third-party subpoenas.
- Assist with client communication and following up on inquiries.
- Provide administrative support to Legal related to legal matters, including coordinating meetings, creating presentations, updating and /or creating forms and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with Legal and HR projects and perform other assigned duties.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of paralegal experience in employment and litigation.
- Completion of an accredited paralegal program (optional).
- Strong knowledge of employment law, including the EEOC and general corporate and business litigation.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and ability to assist in all stages of the litigation process.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to interact confidently with team members, attorneys, and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Understanding of ethical rules, including privilege and confidentiality.
Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Starting Salary: $83,400 - $100,000
