About you and this role
The Associate Solution Manager role will be in the Enterprise Systems Services-Environment, Health and Safety Team and will be responsible for delivering solutions that support and enhance the current EHS & Sustainability business processes and support Dow’s Digital Sustainability Strategy and Ambitions.
With in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge, the Associate Solution Manager will be responsible for a selected portfolio of Environment Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) Solutions. The Associate Solution Manager will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary IT team, Business Partner, functions to develop, deliver and maintain innovative digital solutions and capabilities with an emphasis on customer/employee experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, and reliability while aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation. You will be technically leading team to improve overall IT capabilities by continuously promoting quality techniques to drive improvements and also assist in financial management by managing solution lifecycle costs.
Responsibilities
Ensures that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.
Responsible for following ITIL framework to deliver value for users of the EHS & Sustainability services.
Coordinates with other Solution Managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration. Accountable for solution lifecycle, including functional / technical design; solution architecture; developing value cases for buy vs make decisions; integration of third-party off-the-shelf software; developing, integrating, building, and testing quality solutions; and retiring services and solutions per agreed upon lifecycle roadmap.
Works with partners and stakeholder to define a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects; Helps assess resource, technology, and investment needed in delivering against the roadmap.
Supports and fosters a community of solution experts and acts as a thought leader in his/her domain.
Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related IT field
Knowledge and experience with EHS and Sustainability processes and technologies
A minimum of 10 years of work experience
Preferred Skills
Analytical, Problem-Solving, Team Player and Good Communication skills
Solution Delivery Methodologies – Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Design Thinking knowledge
Application Life Cycle Management – Analyze, Design, Build/Develop, Test, Implement, Support, Decommission
Software Application Development – .NET, Java, C#, Angular, Python
Microsoft Azure DevOps
Microsoft Power Platform
Integration with ERP Database – Oracle, SQL Server, SAP ECC EHS&S (is a plus)
ITIL V4 Foundational Certification
