Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Supplier Relationship Management, this role supports the Operations team in Supplier Relationship Management who are responsible for day-to-day operational management of 3rd party suppliers.  This role demands a resourceful, independent problem solver with proven relationship building skills, attention to detail, analytical capabilities as well as a diplomatic, yet direct approach to communication.

What will you do?

  • Participate as Subject Matter Expert in various projects including new technologies, processes and practices as well as service changes with our 3rd party suppliers

  • Establish relationships and support integration of operational activities with new suppliers

  • Monitor Supplier Service Levels, defects and trends to identify root cause for recommendations to improve processes with suppliers and provide input into scorecards to evaluate performance

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by utilizing the Brighter Way Management System (BWMS) to drive change

  • Review and analyze volumes to understand trends in demand

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and 3rd party Supplier to support production activities, including planning and scheduling, validating and testing changes and issue management and resolution

  • Experience supporting transactional print, commercial print and/or tax production processes

  • Detail oriented with the ability to understand how that detail fits into the bigger picture

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and team-building skills

  • Aptitude and willingness to learn

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Word

Assets:

  • In-depth knowledge of reporting tools (Microsoft Excel)

  • Supply Chain Certificate with focus on contract experience, including understanding of pricing model

  • Project Management skills or experience

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
