Job Title:                Medical Receptionist

Dept.:                      Cardiology

Reports to:             Office Supervisor

This full -time position is for a Medical Receptionist. The role is responsible for assisting patients and providers at the start and conclusion of the patient's visit. Experience in a medical office highly preferred. Looking for a person with excellent communication skills, able to function in fast paced, high volume office. Able to multi-task, bilingual.  A good team player that enjoys being forward facing with patients. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Assist traffic at the front window
  • Complete patient check in processes
  • Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit
  • Collect and process monies due
  • Process medication requests
  • Address tasks in a timely manner
  • Scan medical documentation into the records system
  • Answer phones and assist callers
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong team player
  • Strong Multitasker and self motivated
  • Medical Office experience preferred
  • 1 year minimum experience required 

Physical and Mental Demands: Travel

 

  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
