Senior Accountant
This role is reporting to Finance Controller, Gulf & Levant Region – Corporate Finance Services (CFS), based in Dubai.
What You'll Do:
Fixed Assets Accounting
Inter Company Accounting
Journal Preparation & Data Entry
Accruals and Deferrals (Month - End / Year - End)
Cash Forecast
Balancing accounts on a monthly basis (at an absolute minimum).
Monthly Distributor Reconciliation
Ageing Analysis of Employee Receivables
Prepare, analyze and verify financial statements.
Participate in Audits – Internal & External
VAT Refund Processing
Follow the company prescribed Policies and Procedures and inspire others
Performs any other task/activity that might from time to time be identified by the manager
Working knowledge of Core Business Processes:
Books and Records.
General Ledger.
Electronic Banking (preferably).
Cash Management – Imprest Fund
Property Accounting (Fixed Assets).
Inter-company Accounts.
Accruals & Deferrals.
Reserves.
VAT Accounting
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in English language is required.
Tertiary Education - A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement. For career advancement, the
candidate will need additional certification.
Computer literate
Demonstrated good working knowledge of based Accounting system applications. (i.e. BPCS, FM, XMS)
Proficient in the usage of PC based applications. (i.e. MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
Experience in a and environment is highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Required Skills/ Competencies:
Accounting Systems: Experience with AS/400 based accounting system applications. [i.e. BPCS, INFOR Financial
Management (Masterpiece G/L), OneConcur ).
Application Modules: Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, On-line Banking, General Ledger.
Data Entry: Enter financial data in a timely fashion.
Reporting Skills: Skillfully prepares financial, statistical and management reports.
Attention to Detail: Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner.
Deadline-Oriented: Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
Time Management: Prioritizes work to meet goals and deadlines.
Confidentiality: Can be trusted to keep sensitive information secure
