Job Description Summary

The Operations Specialist for the Gas Power Engineering (GPE) function will play a critical role in driving operational rigor, planning discipline, process improvement, and cross-functional execution across the organization. This role supports key business operations including budget planning and pacing, standard work development, compliance tracking, reporting, organizational change execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, process-minded, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders to improve operational performance and deliver business outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Gas Power Engineering Outside Funding Ownership

  • Own budget planning, pacing, and say-do management for approximately $40M in outside funding for Gas Power Engineering.
  • Work with other Program Managers to develop and implement standard work for planning and pacing processes to support successful delivery of outcomes
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement (CI) opportunities across core operational processes

MyTime and vouchering compliance Ownership

  • Serve as the GPE leader for vouchering and MyTime, including voucher code creation and CI roadmap support
  • Resolve shop order mapping issues, including identifying and correcting mismatched billing errors, while driving process improvements to reduce frequency and improve efficiency
  • Drive improvements in Missing Vouchered Hours (bullet train) processes across GPE and help minimize overdue Missing and Unapproved items through continuous improvement actions
  • Own and communicate the annual applied hours and exclusion forecasts, including tracking actuals versus plan and identifying key trends

Bullet train, Org change structure overall operational rigor

  • Lead the planning and execution of organizational changes, both internal and external, in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure organizational changes are properly documented, portal updates are completed, and standard work governing org changes is maintained and updated
  • Own T&L roll-up and tracking, including targets, planning, bullet train integration, and standard work documentation
  • Act as the central point person for bullet train planning, execution, and reporting
  • Create and maintain generic standard work documentation and processes for operational needs such as overtime tracking, travel, P-cards, and related activities
  • Support and monitor EHS training compliance
  • Lead the monthly Operations Council, including meeting cadence, agenda/content development, and action tracking

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, business operations, project coordination, finance support, or process improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams and levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with budgeting, pacing, forecasting, and operational reporting

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
