Facilities Operative

Kent

Full-Time, Permanent Role

Salary up to £28,000 PA

MPS has been caring for residents’ homes for over 25 years. As part of the Mears Group, we offer partnership solutions and expertise in estate management and property maintenance.

Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide including, Orbit: one of the largest housing providers in the midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.

We are now seeking a Facilities Operative to join us covering Kent/London and Hampshire to support our ongoing partnership with Orbit; now in its twelfth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.

What we are looking for:

You will report into the facilities manager and be responsible for a diverse range of duties such as; Cleaning and Clearing, General site maintenance tasks to support our Trade Operatives, Compliance Checks on our new blocks and ensuring the site is always kept safe and secure at all times. 

Role Criteria :

  • Full UK Driving experience
  • Previous Social Housing experience
  • Determined ‘can-do’ attitude, positive views when faced with challenges and have a flexible approach towards hours and tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
