Position Summary
The Change Management Specialist is responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance for a variety of organizational transformations. You will enable change adoption by creating a change management strategy, conducting impact analyses, and assessing the change readiness of the organization, determining change risks, identifying key stakeholders impacted by the transition and supporting them along the change journey.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Change Management
- Conduct change readiness analysis and assess the impact on leaders, stakeholders, and staff.
- Conduct and interpret risk assessment to assess the change characteristics and organizational attributes needed to customize the change management approach and anticipate resistance.
- Analyze and identify resistance and performance gaps; develop and implement corrective actions, which will lead to long-term sustainability.
- Create and execute tailored change management plans to accommodate the needs of all stakeholder groups impacted by the change and move the organization through the ADKAR transition. Develops related deliverables as needed.
- Identify metrics and vehicles to measure performance and progress of engagement, readiness, and adoption. Analyze feedback for trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
- Document and create solutions for identifying, tracking, and analyzing issues that arise as a result of change implementation including response strategies.
- Work closely with project managers to equip all leaders, stakeholders, and staff to successfully understand, prepare for, adopt, and embrace changes (impacting process, product, and technology associated with the organization).
- Work closely with OCM Learning and Development Specialists and Comms Specialists to ensure alignment with project/program change management plans.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within WashU IT and across the organization.

Salary Range
$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
