Northrop Grumman Space Systems is hiring a System Administrator. This individual will support the design, development, and integration of mixed operating system (Linux, Windows) development laboratories for the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit in Linthicum, MD.
Responsibilities include:
The selected individual will support the RSP Space Development Lab Network, and will be responsible for administration, maintenance, and compliance of the network. These duties will include:
Support of network topology, inventory, and configuration
Defining and implementing upgrades to the IT environment, including Linux and Windows servers, and other network equipment
Performing new server builds
Scripting to optimize IT environment
Level 2 support for system configuration, setup, and requested baseline configuration changes
Assisting in the resolution of computer problems beyond the knowledge of engineering staff
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a blend of technical skills, and excellent communication abilities
Basic Qualifications:
2 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's, 4 years with an associate’s degree. In lieu of a degree, will consider 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Windows, RHEL, and virtualization
Experience with software development labs, software/hardware integration
U.S. Citizenship
No clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI to meet business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bash/Python script writing experience
Experience with multi-site network layout, setup, and configuration
ESXi and VMWare experience (VM creation, vCenter/vSphere management)
Experience with networks spanning multiple trust zones
Familiarity with NIST 800-171 network compliance
Active COMPTIA Security + Certification
CISSP certification, RedHat certification(s)
