We are a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of specialists, who support the development, manufacturing, test and flight operations of spaceflight vehicles. We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent administrative and organizational skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Van Horn Site:

Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee’s additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance.  Eligibility for these additional benefits is based on the employee’s ability to permanently relocate to Van Horn, TX, or travel to Van Horn from another Blue location a minimum of 50% of the time.

Special Mentions:

  • 8/6 shift rotation. (8 days on, 6 days off) 80hrs
    • 8 days on, 6 days off Rotation – Monday through Monday (7:00am – 5:30pm), Off Tuesday – Sunday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support Warehouse Operations Manager, assist with managerial tasks and responsibilities.
  • Drive the warehouse operations team to meet company leadership and business goals.
  • Maintain SKU and unit accuracy levels within company goals.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory and non-inventory variances and escapes.
  • Ensure warehouse activities meet or exceed regulatory requirements and support test and flight operations.
  • Manage inventory levels in coordination with Excess and Obsolete policy.
  • Recommend and drive initiative to dispose of aged or abandoned storage items.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Supervise and maintain team training and certifications required for duties.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish career paths for progression.
  • Develop and implement warehouse reporting metrics to drive performance efficiencies.
  • Maintain service level agreements for inventory and non-inventory related processes across the site.
  • Ensure shipments are tracked, received, properly protected, quality inspections, and documented according to work instructions.
  • Ability to empower team and advise them in the right path.
  • Understand the importance of moving and handling critical hardware, making it a priority to ensure the team is doing what is required per request.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years warehouse operations experience.
  • Previous experience with being a team lead.
  • Extraordinary quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Interpersonal skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical skills including calculation of percentages, area, volume, and unit of measure conversions.
  • Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from captured information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Ability to safely use a forklift and perform elevated work.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years warehouse operations supervisor experience
  • APICs certification or equivalent work experience
  • Acquired Air and Ground Hazmat Certification and able to maintain.
