Department : EP Cardiology 

Position: Medical Receptionist

Job Summary:  

We are seeking a Team player whom can work in high volume, busy EP Cardiology practice.  A basic understanding of insurances, authorizations and check in/out processes. We need someone who can work independently but also understand they play a vital role in the day to day operations of an office as a team member. . Very busy cardiology practice. We have two locations in Wesley Chapel (Wiregrass) and North Tampa. Candidate must be willing to travel.  


**Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.  Experience with insurance and authorizations required**

 Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Completes the start of day processes and end of day processes
  • Check in/Check out
  • Insurance verification and eligibility
  • Authorizations
  • Answering phone calls, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately
  • Scheduling appointments and testing
  • Prep charts administratively
  • Send correspondence, scan, fax, and handle medical records
  • Collecting payments
  • Submitting RX refill requests
  • Maintain Lobby appearance and cleanliness
