Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic (Full Scale) to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL.

Responsibilities

• Performs depot level repairs to systems associated with the Full-Scale (FSAT) and Subscale (SSAT)   Aerial Target’s contract to include such systems as airframe, power plant, fuel systems, pneumatic   systems and hydraulic systems
• Typical work may include: launch/recovery of aircraft, configuring aircraft, rigging of flight controls, engine runs, using appropriate technical data and tools. Inspects, repairs, operates, maintains, services, rebuilds, troubleshoots, overhauls and modifies FSATs and SSATs to ensure air-worthiness
• All maintenance performed with appropriate Air Force technical publications
• May be required to perform Exceptional Release (ER). May be required to fulfill role of Cockpit Safety Officer (CSO) and/or Launch Safety Officer (LSO)
• Reads and interpret technical orders, manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and method for repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components including ordering of parts
• Assist in development of modifications, proofing of technical orders and/or other updating of documentation as required.
• Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in forms and/or automated records
• Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc
• Provides technical guidance and training to equal or lower-level personnel
• May be required to perform work of a lower technical level personnel. Performs aircraft maintenance and other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

• 10 years military fighter experience
• Completion of Air Force 2AXXX technical school

• Overtime and weekend work may be required
• Must be able to obtain engine run & CSO/LSO qualification if requested by management.

• Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years F-16 experience desired but not required

Compensation:

This position is represented by a union collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with an hourly rate of pay at $42.64.
