The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Deputy Operations and Maintenance Manager in the Virginia Beach, VA Program office. This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience in support of the U.S. Navy SURTASS program. On this contract, we manage the Ship’s Operation Center (SOC) manpower and maintain the SOC and array equipment onboard government contracted vessels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Operations Administration and Travel Coordinators, by assigning taskings, projects, and maintenance administration functions, to ensure the required support is provided for SURTASS personnel and program leadership, including Onboarding of new employees, travel arraignments, expense reports, administrative requirements, and advise admin personnel with performance goals and guidance for career development.
- Responsible to the Operations and Maintenance Manager for the scheduling of crew rotations who fully meet all training, certification, and qualification requirements.
- Manage the SURTASS III Integrated Data Environment site; to include System Administrator functions such as primary system Dashboard upkeep, account access permissions, and archive reports and briefs as required.
- Coordinate with the Training Manager on upcoming employee training events, pre-deployment schools, and compliance training.
- Prepare and assist the delivery of contract and company documents, reports, estimates for travel, and contract deliverables.
- Communicate with external Leidos supporting managers to ensure SURTASS personnel are in compliance.
- Keep the Ops and Maintenance Manager advised of any issues that could affect meeting contract performance requirements.
- Ensure all required reports are received from program ships and delivered to required recipients.
- Assist COR, Program Manager, Operations and Maintenance Manager, and Field Support Team Manager as needed.
- Respond to required classified and unclassified correspondence.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with four or more years of relevant experience.
- US Citizen; Currently possess a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Must have five (5) years of supervisor experience that includes: Manpower scheduling, Military Life Cycle sustainment, and administration of personnel performance.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment, work independently
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience managing a remote workforce
• Obtain valid U.S. passport.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access.
Desired Qualifications:
- SURTASS/IUSS program background
- Graduate of US Navy electronics “C” school or equivalent civilian electronics technical school and 7 years of related experience.
- Experience with Deltek, Costpoint, and Concur
- Experience designing or maintaining administrative databases

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
