Job Details:

The Mercer University Tift College of Education is seeking a Grant Support Coordinator on the Atlanta campus.


 

Responsibilities:

The Grant Support Coordinator assists faculty in identifying external funding opportunities, preparing and assembling grant proposals, and managing funded projects. Reporting to the Dean of the College, the Grant Support Coordinator will be housed on the University’s Cecil B. Day Campus in Atlanta and work with faculty across the two campuses and two centers at which Tift College programs are offered
and faculty are housed.

Qualifications:

Two years of college coursework and two years of experience supporting grant proposal development, grant management, and grant-related reporting. An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience will also be considered. Candidates who have a bachelor's degree and/or prior experience writing or assisting with grant preparation in higher education, specifically in an Education-related area, are highly desirable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of current practices in business administration, budget preparation, and financial record-keeping;

  • Ability to begin and complete work assignments with minimal supervision and to adapt to changing priorities;

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading;

  • Ability to identify workplace challenges and implement appropriate solutions;

  • Willingness to develop proficiency in policies regulating grant administration and university budgeting;

  • Ability to support a culture of inclusion and diversity.
