Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Competitive Intelligence expert to join our team. This role supports Personal Systems in making strategic decisions for Long-Term Planning (LTP), helping to ensure it stays competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making and enhance our market position. The role will partner closely with senior manager and above to drive high-impact initiatives

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor strategies, and potential threats, with a primary focus on the commercial segment (Government, Enterprise, SMB, and Education)
• Identify growth opportunities and potential competitive threats, providing actionable recommendations to influence PS long-term strategy planning and decision-making
• Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to enhance competitive intelligence processes and outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, customer insight, and business planning, to integrate competitive insights into product development, marketing, and strategic business planning
• Act as an advanced subject expert, providing guidance and mentorship to team members
• Create detailed reports, visualizations, and presentations to convey competitive insights to the senior management team

Education & Experience Recommended

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience of proven track record in competitive analysis or a related field within the PC or technology industry

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced subject matter expert on competitive intelligence with experience in the commercial sector, preferably in the PC industry 
• Deep understanding of the technology industry, market dynamics, technological advancements, relationships with strategic partners, and ecosystem
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights
• Experience in utilizing AI and machine learning for competitive analysis and strategic planning preferred
• Familiarity with competitive intelligence data sources (IDC, NPD, and other relevant sources) and tools such as Power BI 
• Ability to engage with and influence executives, providing strategic insights and recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English
