Temasek Laboratories@NTU is hiring a Research Scientist or Associate for a project to study social science phenomena on social media using natural language processing. The Research Scientist or Associate will perform a variety of functions related to research. The candidate is expected to work closely with the project team to perform task assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all technical related activities.

• Contribute to project-specific technology scan and review reporting.

• Contribute to research design, data collection and statistical analyses.

• Contribute to software development of project-related deliverables.

• Contribute to writing of project progress and research reports.

• Contribute to research publications and presentations.

• Perform administrative work associated with project

Job Requirements:

• PhD or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Computational Social Science or its equivalent.

• Bachelor’s degree holders need to have at least three years of experience working in Computational Social Science, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Large Language Models and/or Natural Language Processing.

• Possesses good knowledge in MS office, Python, statistical analysis using R or Jamovi.

• Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals
